Somethings not right with my little girl.

Monsta me very difficult DD2 is exausted by 1-2pm she will fall asleep no matter where we are and if we happen to be walking she will just cry coz she is so damn tired, when she gets this way she gets headaches and panandol does seem to fix it but it doesnt sit right with me & the other day she had a blood nose which she has never had before We have a pead appointment next thursday for her autism assesment & possible diagnosis but Im not sure if i should wait till then to speak to the pead or just take her to a GP for now.

    Any advice?

Oh dear, poor little Monsta! And poor you

The paed appointment, is that next Thurs as in one week from today? That isn't too much longer to wait - I guess it depends on how bad her symptoms are to you.

If she starts getting frequent blood noses I'd be taking her to the GP, but if its only been once and the tiredness/headaches have been on-going, I think I'd probably just wait to see the paed.

I'm not sure how much sleep a 5yo needs, but I know that my friend's daughter who is 4 still has a day nap and it is like 2-3hrs. It could just be that she is tired!

Good luck, hope you figure things out soon!

SLeep may just be normal for her, or has it only been happeneing lately, and she didnt need that much sleep before?

My cousin was still having day sleeps when she went in to prep/year 1 and the left her for first term (shed not wake up after 15 rest time), but after that they stared waking her up.

If you are worried go to your GP.

I would take her to the GP because they may order some tests (blood, etc) that may help inform the paed when you see them next week.

Absolutely - if they tell you nothing else other than "wait for the paed" then hey, you haven't lost anything! And you may get some answers.

Good luck - let us know how you go!
