so i put an application in for a house today...

i was just wondering as its the first time in applying to rent etc.. (im a newbie)
what usually happens do they contact you whether you get it dont get it etc
i hate waiting lol

i really have no idea watsover they didn't really explain much to me ..so im feeling alittle unsure..

Depending on the real estate and how much time they have usually they will call you and say you haven't got it or you never hear back at all. Thats why its good to apply for a few places so you don't get your hopes up.

Wow! Good work hun, fingers crossed for you.

We have always got every place we applied for (I think it's something to do with DH being a "Dr" and not a "Mr" although we got one when we were students too, but we were sneaky with that one.)
Every time, they have let us know within 48 hours of putting our application in. So after that time's passed, give them a call. If nothing else, it will show that you are really keen on this place.

Hope it's somewhere good, and that you get it! Will come to your housewarming!

thanks guys..
its a really hard place around here to rent especially in my budget.
this place is 2 bedroom unit.. pretty small but newish and modern in the inside so for just the 2 of us its perfect! close to town and family which is good!

(will be a tight fit when dp and his ds stay tho lol)

ooo did i mention it even has a cute little backyard with all new gardens put in/ newly renovated kitchen and bathroom too.. so can't wait to see of I've got it! fingers crossed!

Good Luck BC hope you get the place, sounds pwetty!

In my experience we've only gotten a call if we were successfull, hopefully you'll get a nice real estate agent who will follow it up with you either way. If you hadn't heard after a week or so, it might be worth giving them a call and chasing it up!
