Teething and cross cutting?

An older friend of mine ( she's about 55) told me that DD is cross cutting (she's geeting her 2 teeth NEXT to the top 2 front ones come through) she said it can cause ear aches and can generally be more painful..
is this true?
she has been soo sooky and grizzly my poor baby
I can see of the 2 teeth that are coming is ALMOST there..hopefully within the next few days it will have broken the skin

Apparently cross cutting teeth is painful - but all teething might be painful for the kid so I don't know if I really believe it - cos they would probably hurt just as much anyway? Meh, I dunno - DS was a shocker with all his teeth, and DD was really good until she got to her eye teeth (and now 2 year old molars).

No, ive heard so many conflicting things about the teethingnecklace and plus my DH doesnt believe that it would work LOL.
But ive been giving her cold teething rings and frozen peices of fruit (in those mesh bags.. which she just loves) if she gets really distressed i give her panadol and somtimes i give her teething gel (the curash one)
im betting all and any kind of teething would hurt lol, poor lil things

The best teething gel is SM33 - so look out for that one.

And I think that the teething necklaces work - definitely.

cross cutting is completely normal and i doubt very much that i would cause more ear aches, the canines are ment to be the most painful to come through

DS cross cut his top teeth and they didn't bother him at all. I didn't even know he was teething but when he got his front two, OMG did he let me know they were coming.
He looked so cute with his three bottom teeth and his top fangs.
