School uniform - plain navy windcheater?

DD is in Kindy and is starting at a new school in the new term. I got her uniform before the schools went on holiday. The windcheater that they have for winter is so big it comes to below her knees. It is a size 4 and she normally takes a size 4 so I cannot understand how these companies can make clothes that don't fit. (but that's a whole other thread!) I took the windcheater to Look Smart alterations today and they quoted $100 to make it shorter as they have to take the zip out and put it make in again. This is far too pricey for me and I saw tonight in the school info book that they are allowed to wear plain navy windcheaters if the school uniform cannot be worn. So my question is - where can one buy a plain navy windcheater in a size 4? Do any of the sports stores sell kids clothes?

Have a look in either KMart or Target as they stock school wear.
If you know someone who sews ask them to make one. They are not hard to make.

Kmart, target, best and less all have plain jumpers. They don't cost much either!

Sorry I am not sure what a windcheter is lol but if it's a jumper I have one here you can have Brought it for Jaidans school, he wore it once.

Yeah, I suppose a jumper would be a better term. They used windcheater on the order form for the uniform. Thanks for the offer but I found a nice one today at a place called Absolutely Aussie.

don't want this too? It's new basically, washed and worn once, just sitting here Brought for Jaidan in Kinda I am pretty sure it's a 4.
