    how do you really know?

more than a few times since dd2 was born i have had the feeling that she can see something that isnt there. when she was a smaller baby she could look over mu shoulder and smile. this kind of thing hadnt happened in a while so i just put it down to nothing.
however, today she was having a breastfeed and she suddenly pointed up to the couch and wall and made a little grunting sound (still on the boob) that she makes when she notices something. she did this a few times.

now, am i being paranoid.. or could she be seeing something that i cant see? how do you really know if it is or isnt anything?

I don't think you are being paranoid at all. I truely believe she is seeing something. Children usually don't react like that unless they are seeing something.

Maybe it's her guardian angel, they say babies and young children are more susceptible to this sort of thing... !

No, I think she sees someone. A friend of mine, her son sees someone & she believes it is her grandfather. Kids are so intuitive

I think very young children are much more open to the 'other' side than we are - they don't have our fears, our expectations or our desire to explain everything in a manner we can clearly understand. Young kids are more accepting. It sounds like your DD is seeing something - or someone!

My niece (she's now 12) used to behave in exactly the way you're describing when she had her nappy changed in her room or was put in her cot. She used to point and grunt and giggle at something above the window in the room. As she grew a little older and began to speak, she told us she was talking to 'the man sitting on top of the curtains'. She described how he looked, and the description matched exactly my mother's partner who sadly took his own life on the same day that my niece was conceived.

You can't really know whether your DD is really seeing anything or not, until perhaps one day she has the language skills to tell you! But I wouldn't be afraid or paranoid if I were you... If someone is there, I'm sure they are looking over your beautiful DD with love. I think we all have 'angels' watching and protecting us, people we who love us and have passed on. As we get older, and our minds become more closed we lose the ability to see them!

    Just my own beliefs...

DD#4 always did this too, every feed she would always look at a certain corner of the room. I believe she was seeing one of her grandparents or her brother. Embrace it, don't be afraid or feel paranoid, it's very special.
