In your opinion would it be OK?

We're going to a wedding this afternoon. No one was invited to the ceremony, it's just a reception at a local pub and we have to pay for our own meals.....Do you think it would be ok for DH to wear jeans and dressy shirt?

provided they're neat jeans, they yeah for sure - unless there has been some sort of dress code laid down... i would find that acceptable at a local pub! hell, our wedding was in gardens then at the local footy club, and i was ok with people being in jeans! they were there to celebrate, not to be judged on attire! i did appreciate that they were "neat" though

Given that it is obviously a casual reception, being that it's at a pub and pay your own, I think jeans would be ok with a nice shirt. As long as they are neat and tidy, with no rips or anything.

Having said that, I always prefer to be a little over dressed than a little under dressed If your DH has some slacks, I'd put him in those with a shirt, no tie.

I would think that was fine for local pub.

Definately OK. Like BG said, as long as it's neat and tidy.

Yeah I guess that would be ok, but only if he wore a nice shirt like you said, and shoes not sneakers
