Can you stay in a hotel overnight and take advantage of their inroom spa treatments?
Like Crown or the Como or something?
OK, as many of you will know because I keep banging on about itI have pelvic instability and am quite immobile. I have been virtually housebound for the last 11 weeks and will be for the rest of the pregnancy. I can't walk very far and have had to give up work. I don't drive.
This is immensely frustrating to be stuck inside the house all day with no backyard and with a very active toddler. Day after day after day. On top of that we've had tradies here on and off for the last three months as we are selling the house. Often DD and I have had to camp in a bedroom for hours on end. On top of that, DP has worked 13 out of the last 16 weekends.
So ... I'm at the end of my tether and DP and I both think that it's a good idea that on his next weekend off which will be Anzac Day that I should go on a pampering weekend. On my own for a proper relaxing break.
Initially, I was thinking of a spa retreat type place but those places tend to be a bit out of the way and I would prefer somewhere that was close to shops. Otherwise, I will just be stuck in a room like I am at home. Although I can't walk very far, I can manage going into a shop, then sitting on a bench outside before tackling another one.
Then I thought maybe I should do somewhere like Docklands and stay down there for a couple of nights. That might be better because then I could have a tiny potter around and also see if any friends are free for lunch/dinner. Or possibly even DP
Any other suggestions?

Prince of Wales in St Kilda - they have Aurora Spa who do preg retreats, there is an elevator to every level and heaps of shops and cafe's along Fitzroy St.
It's a gorgeous boutique Hotel which also does packages with Aurora to combine the spa with acommodation- lots of info on the website.
Sebel Heritage in Chirnside Park. Not close to shops but you they have a fantastic resturant on site, spa on site (HEAVEN!), pool etc. I'm sure you could also hire one of the golf carts to scoot around the grounds which are GORGEOUS! I'm aiming to go there for Mother's Day weekend!
I am with MG - I went to the Sebel a few years back and it was the best place I have ever stayed (and as an ex-member a legal professional body who regularly got to stayin nice places that is saying alot)
Take me anywhere for an over haul and I'd be happy
The Hilton at South Wharf looks great (a little pricey)and then you have South Wharf DFO shops and it is close to catch trams or take short walks.
