is this the right forum to ask for lullaby help?

I've been singing a song to my boys at bedtime the past year & have no idea what the words mean or if I'm even singing the right words! It's "fa la nana bambino" I'm not having much luck trying to find the words online, and was hoping someone here might know the words or have access to them & share?

My boys love it, and it's become such a routine that they won't go to sleep without me singing it to them (unless someone exciting like Nanna is tucking them in)! So I'd really like to know what I'm actually singing to them before they go to sleep.

    Thank you!

Fa la ninna, fa la nanna
    Lullaby
    (Italian)

Fa la ninna, fa la nanna
    Nella braccia della mamma
    Fa la ninna bel bambin,
    Fa la nanna bambin bel,
Fa la ninna, fa la nanna
    Nella braccia della mamma.

    Lullaby
    (English)

Go to sleep, go to sleepy
In the arms of your mother,
    Go to sleep, lovely child,
Go to sleepy, child so lovely,
Go to sleep, go to sleepy
In the arms of your mother
Taken from Mama Lisa's world online.
Hope this helps - it's a lovely lullaby. I think it might be on one of our Play School DVD's, the meet the orchestra one. Next time we play it, I'll check.

    hi Lee-bee

I sing the same one occasionally. I've heard Monica from playschool sing this one:
    Fa la nanna bambino
    Fa la nanna bambino
    Fa la ninna
    Fa la nanna
    Nei bracceti della Mama

When translated (on Google Translate) it reads like this:

    Go to sleep baby
    Go to sleep baby
    Sing a lullaby
    Go to sleep
    In the arms of Mum

    Have a great day

What a beautiful lullaby - just looked it up. What a sweet memory for your kids too.

I sing this to my bub every night and it settles him. I first heard it with DS1 on a playschool tape and used to sing it to him too.

The Wiggles sung it too. I can't remember which DVD it's on though.
