The dreaded two headed monster ...

who rears her ugly head that week or so before AF comes to visit.

    Otherwise known as PMS.

Since having DD2 I have had the worst PMS. It's absolutely horrible.

I go off at the most stupid inane things.
Poor DD's and DH get snapped at all the time. While I am going off I am even thinking to myself geee that's really bad why are you going off like this but I just can't seem to control myself.
The swear words that come out of my mouth could make anyone blush.
I really am setting a horrible example.
I'm so stressed out and there is no real reason for me to be at the moment. Life is going quite smoothly.
I want to eat eat eat eat. Especially sweet things which has made me put weight on.

I am really over it. I am normal for two weeks and then horrible for the next two.

The only thing I can think of is my lack of sleep. DD2 is a horrible sleeper. I've had 3 nights full sleep in 15 mths. Most times I am up 3-4-5 times a night with her.

Anyone else in the same boat?
What sort of things can be done to manage it?

I think if I get out for a walk every day it might help me de-stress a little.
Any natural remedies you have found work?

In the past I have had great success with horrid PMT by lowering the GI of my diet...something about those blood sugar fluctuations really sends me right off. Apparently it's normal to need to eat a bit more carb at this time, but if you're selecting really good slow-burn options, it could help with the sugar craving a bit.

I've also had some success with chinese herbs to regulate my cycle but i couldn't tell you what they were because I saw a TCM practitioner & naturopath for them.

I've had great results with EPO tablets (evening primrose oil) and meditation

EPO and a good slow-release B vitamin is always good for stressy things. NEgrita I think your meditation tip would be excellent too - any time destressing has to help.

I definitely need to do something like meditation. Was thinking of maybe starting up Yoga again.
I don't want to go on the pill again. Will probably start TTC soon and pill makes me psycho, even more psycho than I get now.
