    Catering Help - Naming Day/Birthday

For DS Naming Day/1st Birthday we are putting on lunch - Cold Chickens, Cold Meat Platters (Ham off the Bone) and I plan to do a massive mixed platter with with other Deli type meats (eg salami, kabana, twiggy stix etc), cheese/anitpasto platter and also a heap of salads - Pototo, Pasta, Coleslaw, Tossed Salad etc, Bread rolls etc. (Going with a cold lunch so I can just pull it all out of the fridge and enjoy the day without being stuck in the kitchen)

I'm unsure how many Cold Chickens I will need - any idea's? With the chicken being the main 'meat' - how many people will a chicken feed? 4-6-8 ? I'm not sure, I was planning or getting large chickens from my local chicken shop and asking them to pre-cut it all

Looks like we will have approx 50 adults and 25 kids (15 who aren't babies and will probably eat something)

I'd rather have too much food than not enough, but not sure how many chooks to order.... Idea's?

Oh, and if anyone has a nice pasta salad recipe - I'd love to steal it!

I think I need one more salad idea too............any ideas

    Thanks in advance, Naomi

i would probably cater an 8th of a chook per kidlet and quarter per adult - some won't eat that much, some will eat more. get your shop to cut it in 8ths for you.
