How annoying! Hope he shows up either way!
Quick background first off...DS1 & 2, 18 and 16 yrs old live week about with me and their dad.
DS2 in yr11, hates school and refuses to get a job says he wants an apprenticeship, which is fine but won't get a job a few hours a week to finance his social life that is better than mine!
Anyway yesterday he calls from his dad's saying he can't get hold of him to "borrow" money from him to go out do all you can eat dinner with his mates (who all have jobs BTW) so he asks can he have $20 and he'll come up tomorrow(being today now) my answer being NO as I'm still waiting on him cleaning my car for the last $$ he got not to mention about 10 other jobs not done! I had told him no more getting money for jobs until the job is done first.
So he tried my DP (the soft option) with a sob story and he gave him the $20 with the promise of him coming up home today to do whatever I asked him to do...of course if he could get the money from his dad (as if!) he would just give it back to us no work needed
Sooo...it's now 2.35pm and no sign of DS2, I'm wondering if he'll show up to do jobs, or, with the cash?? Anyone want to place bets??
My money's on neither! DP will learn the hard way
Just wanted to get that off my chest.
How annoying! Hope he shows up either way!
Thanks Ammaki, but I'm not holding my breath![]()
I love how teenagers have desperate NEEDS which must be immediately financed!! DD1 works at maccas at least but still expects cash loans whenever she has run out of money.
I hope he shows up.
Oh yes the desperate "NEEDS"!
Well 5.55pm and still waiting....
10.50pm NO SHOW! Why am I not surprised? Not even a phone call, I guess I'll hear from him again if he wants something again grrr!
Ah teenagers! Gotta love em cause you can't kill them!
Willow, how well do you get on with DS's dad. Maybe you can phone him and let him know that DS is begging for money but not living up to his promises to either repay or do jobs to pay back what he is "borrowing". If you and DS's dad can collaborate maybe your ex might drive him over so he can complete his jobs and your DS might not be so blase about repaying his debts. Just a suggestion.
