Is there anything I can do to encourage bub to engage?

As the title suggests, I am after any ideas of what I can do to help bubs engage?

Had a ob appointment this morning, and my cervix is soft and starting to open but bubs is still floating around very happily, so I was hoping that there were some things I could do to encourage him to engage?

    Thanks!

Just thought I'd add that it is quite common for second+ babies to not engage until labour starts!

    So don't fret!

Walking, gently walking will help bubs move down.
It sounds simple but walking does help

Lucy didn't engage till labour started for me

make sure anytime you sit down your knees are lower than your hips - a good way to do this is to sit on a chair backwards.

Also - walking down stairs sideways, and squatting.

But as Heaven said - check the spinning babies website
    All the best!

You could try bouncing up and down on a fit ball.
But yeah, sometimes it just doesn't happen till you're in labour for subsequent pregnancies. Sounds like you're not far off the end anyway

    Thanks everyone

I am currently sitting on the computer chair propped up on some cushions so my knees are lower than my hips and later on today I am going to go for a long walk (or maybe waddle) around a shopping center!

I had to remind myself to stay upright and not lie down all the time.

And let gravity do it's thang!
