Just wondering if anyone knows if I can change my pay week so I get aid on the opposite week of the fortnight if that makes sense...
Er for example: DH has started his new career and now gets paid fortnightly instead of weekly - Ugh! Currently we are being paid on the same fortnight however I prefer weekly pay, I'm set in my Financial Routine System and find it easier to manage the budget weekly rather than fortnightly so am wondering if I can change my pay week so our pay looks like this:
Week 1: FA Income
Week 2: DH Employment Income
Week 3: FA Income
Week 4: DH Employment Income
Instead of getting it all on the same day each fortnight... Hope that makes sense??
I just called FAO - After getting the engaged tone for half an hour, then on hold for 20 mins, got through a guy who didn't quite understand what I meant and then I think *accidentally* hung up on me - Prob thought I was too much of a pain in the a*se... No Little Man is awake and babbling at his toys at the top of his lungs so I'm not too keen to call again...
And I can't see anywhere on Online Services that I can do this, there's Apply for an Advance Payment but I don't want to do that, I want to permanently change my pay cycle. I got paid this week so want to be paid again in either 1 week or 3 weeks from now - Aaaah I really hope someone gets what I mean haha!
Maybe, i know of a few people that have done something similar -
They have split their pay though, so one week they get Part A and the next week they get Part B so they actually get $ each week - if that makes sense. Helps them to budget better.
Although that isnt the same thing i am sure if you can ring Centrelink again they will be able to help...
Goodluck - BG will probably be able to pop in and answer this for you - she is awesome with Centrelink advice !
yes you can. if you got paid today you need to call between now and tues next week. next thurs you'll then be paid one week instead of two as only seven days since last pymt. after that it will resume nomal fortnightly payments. it can be done (i've done it!)
