Was wondering if anyone uses Bibi's Swiss Strolli Rider, it's like a bike attachment to a pram. Swiss Strolli Rider - Mummas Mate - Swiss Strolli Rider
We have a 2 year old and expecting #2 in Aug.
Instead of buying a new tandem pram, we thought this would be a good idea, to attach the rider to our old pram and DS can just ride along.
I just wanted to know if anyone's used them and how it went.
So far I can only see that you can get them online. I havent come across any stores that sell them.
Does anyone know?
Hi there,
I am quite an expert on the Strolli Rider (lol!) I had the exact same dilemma you are having. I have two children 2.5 yrs apart. I looked at a double stroller and didn't want to go that route so looked for an alternative. I found a Strolli Rider online through Ebay and bought it into Canada. I loved it. My son thought it was great fun and rode it a lot. It's great as the older child can walk until they get tired then jump on it and it's fun to ride. However, it does give them the freedom to jump on and off as the older model does not come with a seat belt. So on occasion I had to race after my son who had hopped off and run off. So if you have a runner maybe not such a great idea. It unclips very easily and takes up very little room in the car. They fit most strollers / pushchairs but you need to have enough clearance under the stroller handle.
The bad news is that they are very hard to find. Very few shops will stock them now as unfortunately the Swiss company are no longer manufacturing them anymore. The good news is that if you get one you can resell it at a very good price as they are in demand. I actually looked at selling them in Canada as I loved it so much...but due to the Swiss company's decision that unfortunately fell through. I think there are a few online stores still selling them in Australia however.
If you have any other questions please post back to this thread.
All the best,
Caryl.
thanks caryl. appreciate your reply
i got just got one off ebay on friday. they said it was about a year old, so not sure if it has a seatbelt or not. we're picking it up tomorrow.
we have an older style pram, an steelcraft and it should fit it.
It's a pity the swiss company stopped making them, it is a good idea.
thanks again and will let you know how it fits once we get it
