Nails keep breaking

I have decided to start growing my nails after 20 odd years biting them because i would really love to experience a manicure and have them looking all nice and neat. It's been 2 weeks today since i stopped.

However, every few days or so they keep splitting. Is there anything i can put on them to stop this?

Ahhh I wish I knew the name a friend gave me a nail polish to borrow that strengthened my nails and I put it on a couple of times a day, for a wekk or two and it made a massive difference! I will pop her an email and see if she can let me know the name!

Dr Lewinns Revitanail...so good that they hand it out at some of the hospitals for ladies who are having certain types of chemotherapy.

I kid you not, I haven't used it nearly as often as the instructions say and my nails are FANTASTIC!

Avon does a really great nail treatment at a bargain price - I think it's called Length and Strength Complex or something like that. Comes in a dark blue bottle and you just apply it once or twice a day to clean (ie unpolished) nails for a week, then whenever your nails need a bit of a boost between manis
I also really love Creative Nail Design's Solar Oil treatment, I apply it at night and then whack the Avon treatment afterwards before bed and my nails are super-strong Without using treatments they're brittle and split and flake if I so much as *look* at them the wrong way, so those two treatments work really, really well.
