Heart Palpitations in pregnancy?

Over the past few weeks I've noticed that I've been occasionally getting what I assume is heart palpitations. It's kinda like I feel my heart pause for a moment then do a big thud then keep beating normally. I think I vaguely remember this happening very occasionally with my first pregnancy. Should I be too concerned? Has anyone else experienced this?

I had this and they did an ECG said I was fine and sent me home... go figure. I think it's to do with your heart not being so used to the higher blood volume it has to pump.

It is not unusual for people to get this however if it is happening more than very occasionally it should be reported to your doctor

I'll mention it to the midwife at my next antenatal appointment and see what they say.
