hi there... we took our 2 year old earlier this year...
i found it quite hard, but i was pregnant at the time and also came down with severe gastro, so didn't have an easy run!!
i took cans of baked beans, tins of tuna etc and other things i knew she would eat, for when we were at home (we had a villa, not a hotel)... ummmm what else can i advise....?? the people there LOVE kids... i took a stroller which i needed, but it was hard work on the broken/uneven footpaths...
geez i haven't been much help have i....
i honestly can't think of much else!! where abouts are you going, and what sort of accom are you staying in?
    have fun!!

We're going to Bali in June and DS will be 13 months old. I spoke briefly to a doctor who suggested that we should get a certain blackmores product. It's one of the probiotic products, but apparently it doesn't need to be refridgerated so it's easy to travel with. He suggested that all of us take it, including DS, to support our digestive systems to try to prevent any tummy upsets. I'm going to give blackmores a call about it because I'm not sure exactly what product it is, and even the kiddie probiotic they have seems to be from 2+ years of age. Although, it could actually be fine for younger bubs... I hadn't even thought about protecting myself in order to protect DS too. I felt very silly when I realised that he could get sick from me through my breastmilk :/

    hi
we have been a couple of times with dd who is 3.

I always take red cordial, - it apparantly kills any bugs in the tummy.

I also take kids stuff to stop the runs and gastrolite to keep them hydrated in case of vomiting or diarrohea.

When she was 3 she enjoyed a portable dvd to watch her favourtie dvd's which provided great distraction when eating out at dinner.

Also took books and colouring stuff to keep her entertained on the plane and anywhere else.

Have a great time. The Balinese love kids and are so friendly.
