    Diet and sickness

    Hi,
I am not sure if this is the right place for this (mods please move if it isnt) but wasnt sure where else to put it,

I am worried about a friends 7yr old daughter who is ALWAYS sick. Every week she is taking her to the doctors with something wrong. it could be a flu, a rash, spotty skin, lethargic and so the list goes on.

I know for a fact that she is on a very tight budget and that they are often eating meals out of boxes. they dont eat fresh fruit or vegies
so i guess my question would be
Does diet affect the health of a child, could it be the reason she is always sick?

maybe you should point her towards one of the savings type websites, I know I've read alot of suggestions on them on how to save alot of money on healthy foods.

Or gift her a book, like healing with wholefoods or something like that.

She could ask the doc about deficiencies with her daughter. Maybe if she's on a tight budget, she is taking her daughter to whatever bulk billing doc is available (as I have done in the past), and they (in my experience) might not have the time to do anything but hand over a script for the current illness so they might not look at that side of things, but it is a possibility.

the syptoms you described could be a deficiency of b and c, or not

I think most illnesses should be looked at from a preventative pov, and a healthy diet couldn't hurt.

She could at least try a good multi vit and see if that helped.

Sorry I have only just read your post and was wondering does the girls school have a breakfast club. If she gets one good meal a day her health might improve a little and if it doesn't then the school should notice it and they might do something about it.
