    5th Wedding Anniversary Party

So here's the thing. DH and I will be married 5 years this year and we did it overseas with only a few friends in attendance (most were already over there). I always said that we would have a party with friends and family when we got back. Fast forward 5 years and we still haven't done anything. I would really love to have a party just to get people together and have a good time and have our wedding/travel photos on a slideshow.

Secretly I would also love to wear my dress again and I am thinking I want photos with both sides of our family in all our attire. Too much?

I was thinking an evening get together that won't cost an arm and a leg in a relaxed atmosphere.

I'm putting it out there as I am in two minds so would like your opinions please.

I think it sounds awesome and like lots of fun~ do it be extravagant you only live once bet that beautiful dress cost you a bit of money so wear it again!

If I was your friend/family I would be very excited for a party like this, you could even do a little renewing of your vows if you wanted

Oh Jas, I was very happy to read your response and if you are in town, come along! hahaha

I really want to do it and might flag it with a couple of my sisters to see what they think. One of them got married last month which kind of sparked the idea again as we all had such a good time and I realised how much they kind of missed not seeing DH and I on our happy day.

DH doesn't want to renew our vows - ever - so that's not going to happen unfortunately as I would have loved my parents to walk me down the "aisle" so to speak but I could incorporate that somehow into our little party.

My dress was only $800 but I would love to give it another spin instead of being in a box. DH and I were looking at wedding photo's last night and I would do a few things differently hair wise etc and I am 5 years older now so a few more wrinkles to hide
