    Flanelette sheets

    Flanelette (sp?) sheets

I was talking to my grandma the other day and she told me not to get flanelette sheets for J, or ourselves for that matter. She said it will affect our asthma (how lucky - we all have it ! )

I haven't heard of this - anyone else?

(J is alseep in some Flanelette pj's but he doesn't sleep under a blanket or anything... I want to try and make it a bit warmer for him.)

    Thanks!

Sorta makes sense, they can trap dust a bit more than cotton ...

I would think that if you change your sheets regularly, and wash or dry at whatever temp is recommended to kill dustmites, it shouldn't make a difference. Perhaps your grandma noticed an increase in asthma during the colder months - not surprising when you think about things like people staying inside more, opening windows less, increased air pollution inside house from heating etc - and thought it coincided with when the flanny sheets came out on the bed??
