    Sorry for the gross detail

    Hi,

We use cloth nappies on our daughter and when we change her after a poo we put the cloth nappy into a bucket while we finish changing our daughter. The problem i am having is that if i am not quick enough our two dogs will steal the nappy out of the bucket and eat the poo.

can anyone please explain why they are so gross and do this?

    thanks

It's quite natural - dogs will lick and clean the poo from their young's bums ...

But bad breath - eeww! Might be an idea to keep the dogs out of the change room if you're worried?

Probably because it smells delicious to them! Lol and dogs are gross and eat anything...do you have a lid you can put on the bucket? Or else make them wait outside until you're done.

Yeah our nappy bin lives on top of the chest of drawers for this very reason. Our disgusting (and otherwise terribly cute loving and fantastic doggie) also eats cat poo (meaning the kitty litter tray gets speed cleaned every time she uses it), tissues, rubbish, dirty socks, as well as lumps of things like compost, organic fertiliser and I suspect occasionally bird poo. I suspect the scavenging is a survival instinct, there would have to be some nutrients in that lot, surely??
