Starting school... What questions to ask????

We've just begun our journey to find a school for DD next year and i'm at a loss for what questions to ask the principal on the tour of the school... can anyone help me out?

I'd find out info on:

- number of classes
- number of students in each class (find out about both the younger year levels and upper year levels sizes)
- facilities
- programs running at the school (e.g. reading recovery, literacy programs, etc)
- specialist classes (e.g. do they do art/music/LOTE whatever else you may want your child to do)
- what kinds of things do they do to help support students who have difficulties
- info about orientation programs
- antibullying programs
- how they deal with behavioural issues

I'd also try to sneak a look in a couple of the classrooms to see the teachers in action!
