    Seagrass baskets - they stink

As the title suggests, I bought some seagrass baskets and they stink. I didn't realise when I first bought them, but after a night in DS's room, OMG they reek. I'm not sure if they are meant to smell like that or if it's a chemical smell. I have moved them out of DS's room as I don't think it can be good for him.

Any ideas on how to get rid of the smell?

not much help, but mine have all smelled a fair bit too.
Time is really the only thing that seems to lessen it.
Maybe a day or two in the sun?

I was going to suggest a day out in the backyard in the sun...and maybe some Febreze for good measure?

    Thanks ladies!

My baskets spent a couple days outside and a couple more weeks in the living room and I can hardly smell them now. Didn't need to go out & buy Febreeze. Just time did the trick. Might be safe to put in DS's room now.
