Cradle cap?

Ok im sure there are plenty of treads on this but ive searched and cant find one

Milly has cradle cap...Ive tried olive oil but I only left it on for about 30minutes?? was this too short.
Lucy had it to and the only way I got rid of hers was to pick it off...she likes to sit and relax whilst I have a pick chimpanzee style
Milly doesnt have a lot of hair so its really obvious and whilst it doesnt bother me last night DH says "Ewww gross whats this S*** in her hair"

I think I tried a paste of olive oil and bicarb when DS had his, but it came back.

I use the moogoo scalp cream. Its awesome and you hardly need any of it to keep it from not coming back

I used sorbolene cream and just combed it through their (both DD's had it) hair. I put it on in the morning combed it through, then applied it again 2-3 times doing same thing combing through, then washed out at bed time

The only thing that has worked for me with my childrens cradle cap is to make a paste of bi carb & water. Smear the paste over their head, leave for a bit to dry and then rinse it off. I do it just before a bath so they can soak in the bath too. Works every time

i second the moo goo scalp cream! I put it on when ds was feeding before bed and leave it on all night!both boys had it ds1 was pretty bad and it was gone in a few days :-) good luck xx

I use the moogoo, and the tub has lasted 2 kids plus loaned to about 3 of 4 friends as well. very good value for money.

That what my mum said nana would've told me if she was still here. I haven't tried it yet, but might give it a go before his next bath.

I like the idea of the moogoo scalp as well (i've been using the another moogoo for nappy rash- its working wonderfully), but as its rather expensive to buy- what else can you use the moogoo scalp for?

I have found that coating the hair in olive oil overnight, then combing with a nit comb, works well. Ditto using a cheap conditioner then combing. The only problem is that my twins, who both have terrible cradle cap, hate getting their hair combed. So now I just leave it alone because it bothers me, not them.

I was told vaseline smeared on and left until bath time also worked. I havent tried that one but using just sorbolene coated on and left 3 times a day then shampood off worked for us.
