Red face Knee high boots with skinny jeans... Where? How?

I LOVE the boots over the jeans look, and there are some AMAZING knee/thigh high boots on ebay....

But I dont wear dresses too much in winter, and dont own skinny jeans, only boot cut.

What are skinny jeans like? Do they fit like a glove so it fits under the boot, like a pair of tights? The boots seem to be skin tight, so how do they fit over them???

I know I sound stupid, but the only thigh high boots I own would never go over jeans... and where do I find these jeans that apparently can go under boots??

Ok ladies, laugh it up now, I''m an idiot!!!
But please help this simple girl.....

ETA, can someone please fix my title.... seriously, should of stayed in bed today....

Maybe you could get some of the leggings that look like jeans?

I was in Target the other day and there were heaps of skinny leg jeans and boots. Maybe take a whole heap into the change rooms and try them on so you can see if they fit in the boots etc.

some skinny jeans fit like a glove others not so much so the best thing for you to do it take your boots with you and try some one and see if they go over your jeans before you buy them... you could also buy some leggings as they would fit under you boots better. I have knee high boot and not problems getting my jeans in them even boot leg jeans ( just fold them around my leg) but not having thigh high boat I dont know if that would work... I know supre did have legging that looked like jeans you could give them ago too ( dont know how they would look though)... Best of luck, I cant wait until I am back down south to start wearing jeans and boots again, even if BHL think the look is weird, what would he know, the dag, lol

It depends on the boots..as in if they have give in them.
I have a pair of Bettino Liano (my pre baby splurge and inspiration to get back into after baby) skinny legs jeans. These are the most comfortable pair of jeans.
Best investment I ever made and I have a pair of boots that just scrape over them the boots don't have alot of give.
You can get leggings that look like jeans, pretty sure I saw some in Target??? It's a great look for winter and when you put it with a nice top you look and feel pretty

Skinny leg jeans are surprisingly comfy.

I always looked at them and went no way my legs are way too big to get them on but no they fit on and they are actually the only jeans that look flattering on me.

I wear boots over mine and i dont have any problems at all, they fit over them well.

Its definitely a look i will have for a little while as i love it. And reminds me i need to buy new boots

I don't fit into the skinny jeans very well, and had the same issue getting boots over my boot or wider cut jeans. Solution? Get a pair of the knee high stockings that you would normally wear under pants and wear them over your jeans - the boots should then slip on nicely. Worked for me.

I find the leggings way more comfy but prolly not as warm over winter.
Just try pairs on as they can vary from one place to the next.

I was always skeptical on the skinny leg jeans too... cause my legs are a tad chicken like... but I love the knee high and jean look.

I've done it with bootleg jeans, I just used to pull them tight across the front part of my leg, and then sort of pull tight and together and wrap around my leg and into the boot iykwim... but it only works with some of my boots, as some are too skin tight and it's noticable and looks funny!

I'd take the boots with me and try on a few pairs of skinny jeans and see how they look and feel to you!

You don't even have to use skinny leg jeans at all. You can do it with the straight cut jeans.

The most comfy skinning leg jeans have a lot of stretch to them, you really need to try them on though because they are all cut differently and the fit is the most important part.

You can get leggings that are printed to look like jeans and you can also get 'jeggings' that are a cross between the two. So thicker than leggings but still no where near as thick jeans.

Personally which ones I would go for really depends on what I plan to wear on top, I have a huge pet peeve when it comes to leggings/jeggings and visible crotch! I hate it and really think it looks gross no matter the size or shape of the girl. So for me leggings/jeggings tucked into boots when I'm wearing something looser and longer up top and skinny jeans when the top is shorter, but hey thats just my opinion.

I also think that its worth hitting the chain stores, yes theres some crap but if you look through it all you do find the gems! I have jeans that have cost $20 and are still looking as good as $200 pairs I own.

... :yeahthat: Yep i so agree

toomanyshoes i'm looking for a pair of jeggings where do you suggest to look and have you ever seen them in dark brown or chocolate colour or are they usually a denim blue colour ??

My last pair of skinny leg jeans i got from Target of all places, it was beginning of last June and they had all jeans 25% off so they ended up costing me only $25 ... and they had some stretch which made them comfy and they were inbetween a mid rise & hi rise, so comfy again ... i wasn't too crazy on the colour but they wore well )
(i wore 'em to last June Melb meetup )

... too funny until my best friends 13year old DD had a pair on and she happily educated me on jeggings ... i never asked where she got them from as i figured she might have got her's from Supre only cause i know she loves that shop whereas i'm not a huge fan of it !!

Jeggings are fairly new (as in the last couple of years) so are slowly trickling into more and more chain stores, I would say the usual suspects are worth a try, sports girl, forever new, etc etc, oh and don't be put of by the "tween" vibe a lot of these stores have, like I said a lot of their stock is utter crap but there really are some great pieces to be found if you look around.

I'm a plus size girl so have gotten to know over sea's stores quiet well! I would say 98% of my clothes have been bought from the uk and usa for the past 5 years. I know a couple of good priced sites that ship to aus if you wanna know just drop me a pm! (regular sizes as well)

oh fantastic toomanyshoes i'm about to PM you ... i go up & down in size but usually a size 14 (i never know whether that's considered plus size these days as a lot of shops i go into and they don't even have that size sitting at the back of a rack) !!

The knit tunics look really good with leggings/jeggings/skinny jeans (to hide the crotch area ) and knee high boots...I'm going to check out the Target skinney jean sale too tomorrow.

I am looking forward to winter with all these yummy clothes/boots out there. Will also look on ebay for jeggings too.

    Good luck x
