For FTB it's 16. Then they can claim youth allowance (either into your account or their own). I don't know what CCB is, so can't help you there.
I'm just wondering, at what age does your child stop being a "child" for the purposes of FTB and CCB?

Is it 16 when they can apply for youth allowance? (Don't think CCB would be the same though)
Subscribing anyway. Would be interested to know.
Ok, just worked out what CCB is, LOL. I think you can claim that up to school age.
If they are aged between 16-20 they need to be in full time study. The young person’s study must assist or allow them to complete a Year 12 certificate or equivalent qualification. FTB can actually go up to age 24 depending on the situation. That would be if they were a dependent full time student. The income test is higher for FTB then youth allowance. So alot of families that miss out on youth allowance due to parental income may still be eligible for FTB. You cannot claim both payments.
CCB can continue for as long as a child is in approved care. Primary school children are covered and I think that is until around 12 years of age however teenagers aged between 12-18 with a disability are also covered.
Thanks Kylie. I often wonder what the heck we are going to do with DD1 before/after school when she hits high school...no way am I gonna leave her at home 5 days a week by herself!!!
Yeah after school care tends to be approved care. I haven't personally heard of anywhere for teenagers with after school care. That's why I think it stops at 12.
