22 month old can climb out of cot.

It looks like it is time to get DS into a toddler bed since he has now figured out how to climb out of his cot. We have the bed, I was just hoping we had another month or 2, since we have new bub about to arrive.

I was just wanting to seek your advice on how you transitioned your child from cot to bed and what were the challenges and what techniques did you use?

With my girls, I just put them in their bed during their day sleep and that night they went in there as well. I've never left the cot in the room or anything, taken it out so they know cot's gone and they have a big bed now. I've never had any problems with my 2. DD1 was 15 months old, and DD2 was 19 months old.

We started DD on a mattress for a few nights, then onto the bed, with matresses and pillows below (softens the fall if they do roll out) but that never happened!
