I'm new and I'm really devastated at the moment. I spoke to my GP and he told me I would probably never conceive because I am 39 1/2, I am probably not cycling regularly and not ovulating every month and even if I did I would MC due to diabetes!
I didn't tell him that in case he hadn't noticed since I have gone from 130kg to now 114kg, lately I am cycling every 30 days! I have been on Metformin for my diabetes for years, so I can't see any reason why I 'wouldn't' be!
If you have any thought on this girls I'd love to know what you think because i feel shattered.
Thanks Girls

: missing info
big hun.
I don't know too much about that kinda stuff. I have PCOS and was having metformin too.
I'm sure there will be girls with much more info than I have. All I can say is don't lose hope... stranger things have happened.
Sending you loads of xx
I dont have PCOS but I am finding it hard to TTC. I think you need to get a second opinion and be referred to a specialist. Did this dr do any bloods? progesterone? etc
babe there are so many lovely ladies here that can give you so much information.
If I was you I would be asking for a referal to a FS and see what they have to say. I have just been diagnosed with PCOS, Endo and a septate uterus and feel like it is never going to happen for us. I am 31 and DH is 42 we have a referal to a FS on the 24th June to see where we can go from here. Please don't lose hope
Darl, that was horrible to hear I would seriously get a second opinion, because that doc sounds like a real Negative Nelly! As you said, you've lost some weight which has improved your cycles, you're on Metformin which will also be helping - you may only need some slight help, such as Clomid or something similar.
On what basis does he say you will likely miscarriage?! I think thats going a bit far personally, you really need to have a GP you are confident in that will try his hardest for you
