Think its the same as an adult cold - runny nose, cough, wheezing breathing. Unfortunately there is nothing you can give them as all cold medicines are only for kids 2 years and older. Fever can be managed with panadol. Basically its just something you need to wait out. Of course if she gets really bad or the fever gets high go to the Dr.
Thanks - I am watching her as she often due to her reflux gets mucus in her nose, this time it seems to be runny and she is irratable and having trouble sleeping...Ill just watch her and give her cuddles and keep her warm...thanks for the info though
If she gets really stuffed up & it's affecting her feeding, you can get a spray & a sucker to clear her nose. We used the Little Fess one, you can get it from the chemist.
Also try elevating her bed, if she's in a cot - we used a pillow under the mattress - and a vapouriser can help if she's wheezy.
Oh and you can get baby vicks too, although TBH I don't know if that does much
Thanks Fleur - thankfully her cradle's matress is elevated (due to her reflux) I got some baby fess and oddly enough she doesnt mind it been put up her nose its helping her feed...and a nice warm bath...
