Egg free chocolate cake
125g butter chopped coarsly
100g dark cooking chok roughly chopped
3/4cup milk
3/4 cup caster sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup SR flour
1/2 cup plain flour
2 tablespoons cocoa powder
1 preheat oven at 150/ 130 fan forced grease 20cm round cake tin line base and side with grease proof paper
2 stir butter chocolate milk and sugar in medium saucepan over low heat with out boiling, until smooth, transfer to large bowl and cool down til warm, whisk in extract sifted flours and cocoa til smooth. pour in to cake tin
3 Bake cake for about 1hr 10 minutes, stand cake in pan for 5 minutes then cool on wire rack
Fudge frosting
50g butter
1/4 cup caster sugar
2 tablespoons water
3/4 cups icing sugar
2 tablespoons of cocoa
stir butter, caster sugar and water in pan over low heat, until sugar is disolved do not boil, sift icing and cocoa in to hot butter mix gradually. cover and refridgerate until thick, beat with a wooden spoon until frosting is spreadable.
Note
i used dark brown sugar and it was still devine!
