Due to some nipple damage, I have had to have a break from my right breast for a couple of days - I have been expressing though. But obviously my left has way more milk than my right and I am just wondering now that my right is healed and we are back in action - how do I go about building the supply right back up again?
Do I just feed feed feed from that breast? Because bubby is getting annoyed as it seems that after a short amount of time, she has emptied that breast and is rooting for more (which I give her from the left).
Just wondering if anyone has had this before?
Cheers

Sue, breastfeeding works on supply and demand, so the very best way to increase supply is to feed more often. If you can, try to start most of the feeds on that side, and you might even like to try offering that side between feeds for a couple of days. It could take a week or more to build back up but your DD will get enough milk in the meantime as the other side will be producing more to make up for it.
This is pretty common hun, and you are doing a fantastic job
Thanks so much, I kind of wondered if that is what I should be doing..... I am so glad that I didn't give up and we're not out of the woods yet but we're getting there!
Way to go babe, still sticking at it I see . As Manta said supply and demand is the way it works. You sound like you are working everything perfectly! Just offer regularly and let Evie build that milk back up.
yep as the others have said offer that side first and in between feeds. Worse case scenario you may find it it never has as milk as the left milk and that is ok, I know that my right side has always been a bit 'dogdy' and he has mainly fed from the left side for a loooong time now
