That's really just there for extra flavour and maybe to thicken it up a little bit. So maybe use some powdered chicken stock, some sort of dried herb if you want to, and a cornflour and water slurry to thicken.

Thought I would try something different for dinner tonight (for a change!) - mustard chicken bake. It needs powdered cream of chicken soup but I don't have any. Is there something else I can use or will I just have to suck it up and walk up to the supermarket?

It was only to coat the chicken/potatoes so really just for extra flavour. Just chicken stock and a tiny bit of flour worked well, and the end result was very yummy!
