DD2 is just about 4 months and the last few days she has decided that she doesnt want to feed like she did before hand. She is now only really feeding on one side a go and going about 5 minutes maximum. When I try and reattach her she refuses and pulls away screaming. If I try and change sides, the same thing. Surely for her age she would need more right?
She is only having a dirty nappy every couple of days or so but she is still having wet nappies.
We demand feed and I am also offering more because I am worried she isnt getting enough and the refusal is getting to me a little bit.
After saying all of that, she is still happy enough and not screaming for a feed. Could she be just getting really really good at it? Although she isnt emptying a side when she has a go.
Or is this just that 4 month old thing where they are more aware of their surroundings and have more movement? Should I try and ride it out?

It could be that she's really efficient at draining the breast & she gets enough in the 5 mins. As long as you're getting lots of wet nappies I wouldn't worry too much.
When we went through breast refusal the advice given to me (probably worded better lol) was try not to push it. She wont starve herself, if she's really hungry/ thirsty she'll drink. It'll just stress you and her out and make it worse/ create a negative association with feeding. Almost as soon as I relaxed and stopped worrying about it DS went back to feeding really well.
Like Snowy Love has said just keep an eye on the nappies. It's perfectly normal for a bub to go a few days without a poo. So long as she's not constipated and has plenty of wet nappies (6-8 a day, I think) then it's ok.
