    Sleep!What the heck is that??

ok so ds has never been a good sleeper but we'd got to the stage where he'd go to sleep 7pm wake up once (twice on bad night) for bottle then straight back down in cot in own room.

In the last few weeks he's progressively getting worse, waking up every few hours, not wanting a bottle, wants to talk. It looks like his other top tooth is coming through as well as his eye teeth, we have some FANTASTIC teething gel from the hospital that works great, but even this doesn't seem to get him to sleep for long.

Last night it was be 7pm, feed 8.30pm, 11.30pm (half botts each time), awake 12.30 crying, 3.45am half bott, then 5.30am and won't go back to sleep. I wouldn't mind so much but i'm back working 3 days a week and i'm knackered in the morning.

I've googled his age etc - possibilities being; separation anxiety, teething, afraid of dark, developmental reasons (starting to walk, talking a lot) but that is really no good to me.

What i really want is to know did this happen to anyone else and when does it stop.... i'm going crazy with lack of sleep and sometimes just want to run away, book myself into a cottage and sleep for a whole weekend!

I've been whingeing to my mum and she's trying to get me to see a 'sleep doctor' who likes controlled crying. and while we have used a form of this in the past, i'm not a fan, it upsets ME!

    help, help, help.

Oh hun, hope he gets better fast! Elijah seems to sleep better when he is sick He is still a shocking sleeper also and of late in particular I've been up on average every 2-3 hours all night.....bah! Then on top of that I've had a few times in the past week where Oskar has also woken up.... eeeeek boys sleep... all of you! to you both.

I was going to post that when DD started bad sleeping like this, I would dose her up on panadol on her first wake and see if it made a difference. If it did it was a trip to the dr to get her ears checked, cause she has constant cronic ear infections and we are none the wiser unless they got looked at. Hope the little man gets better
