    Question Cervix position question

Hi ladies (and gentlemen in case you're reading this post also!)

I haven't been on here for quite some time as i have taken some much needed time off the whole TTC stuff. It's been a rough journey and it took its toll on my relationship and my life a little too much. Happy to say that things are back on track (better than ever actually)!

So my question - I am not exactly TTC again, but i'm not NOT TTC if that makes sense. I used to check cervix position all the time so I pretty much thought I knew my body well.. until now.

I checked my CP a few days ago and it was low, but open. Been that way for a few days now. Boobs are a little sore and some cramping so I honestly thought, hmmm.. must be AF on her way. Normally AF would come with CP still VERY high, and it lowers for me about a day or two into AF. I can honestly say that i've NEVER felt a low and open cervix before.

Does anyone else experience this? If so, what does it indicate for you?

Thanks in advance for the help / ideas!!

Could be that you've just ovulated? Mine goes low after O, and like you it goes high before and at the beginning of AF. I get cramping for 3 days after O, and sore boobs aren't uncommon... Are you cycles pretty regular, are you expecting AF?

Aww thanks Kit. Have to say I missed all the great BellyBelly friends I made here!

In response to your suggestions - I did also consider that it might have been a sign of O. I've just never had that before. AF hasn't been regular for me unfortunately, just too many losses in this past 12months so I think she's a bit dazed and confused! If I were on time, I'd be expecting her now (if not a few days ago). But I'm not at all put off by late arrivals cos she might come in another 2 weeks or so.

Yes, you are right about the bbs and cramping after O. It is something that is often present for me. So that must be it. O time.

How are things going for you in the ttc journey? It's been so long i'm sure i have lots to catch up on with everyone!

hi ciara.e , nice to see your name again, glad things are looking up for you & dh,with me that cervix position would probably mean af is coming, sometimes i think i'd have better chance winning the lottery ,than reading my body though

    hi Matthews Mum.
It's great to see a familiar name pop up! And you're so funny haha. But I must agree with you there, winning lottery seems to be more likely than a body that does exactly what the text books say!

You know, I have been feeling for a few days like AF is coming.. and today it's been a matter of going to the loo a hundred times to check cos i feel crampy and a bit wet (tmi sorry lol). But nothing has happened. So, not that i think I am pregnant and not that I'm really trying to do it (lets face it, all the trying did no good)... but I kinda just thought, well I might need some help from my old BellyBelly friends <3

I will just wait it out and see what happens. I checked CP this morning and she's way high and tightly shut now so I think it might have just been O time for me? I'm not gonna read too much into it.. but I will let you know what it was when AF finally gets here.. either way, at least i'll be able to figure it out eventually.

I hope things are going well for you, which forum are you using these days?
