I posted a thread about a week ago as I had 3 periods in a month but can it be trusted to actually prevent pregnancy at the moment? I tell DH to wear a condom but he says 'you're on the pill it will be fine' but I just don't feel right about it. What do you think?
I'm just wondering because I've had the breakthrough bleeding whether I can trust it to prevent pregnancy. I'm looking forward to getting on the "normal" pill when I am no longer BF.
I found I had to be extremely accurate with the timing of taking it and found out that a 3 hour difference was too long and would have breakthrough bleeding and eventually other consequesnces.
Not that I dont love DS2, but we found out I was pg the day after we'd decided to TTC.
I'm also on the minipill and I must admit sometimes I have my doubts about it cos I've come across a few stories on here about people getting pregnant while on it... But so far so good...
Speaking from personal experience i don't trust anything but abstinance!!! I have fallen pregnant on day 20 of my cycle and had the embryo cling on through a period and I was over 40 and I have a health condition that makes it hard for women to conceive at the best of times and I have poly cystic ovaries.
I was on the mini pill once but never trusted it alone... it was a backup if the condom broke... and I never DTD in the middle of my cycle unless we're TTC.
Miss E, I called it breakthrough bleeding because my sister uses that term but basically I have had 3 periods from late March.
Bathsheba - wow!
Thanks for your replies everyone. It makes me want to trust my instincts and not trust the mini pill alone. After reading these to DH he is pretty much not going there anymore
