We bought some home made nappies off ebay, these are the ones i grab first as they fit well and are really absorbent. then we grab the Rainbow BB's not the best nappies i have had but they are ok.
Bundles of buns first cos they are the best fit and last the longest.
Ecobums...same reasons but I have to stuff them
Happy Heinys - I know they're mf but they're great for the nappy bag.
BBH fitted are last cost it's a pain keeping him still enough to put a cover on as well these days and he's still so little they're just too bulky, so they're an at home too lazy for a cover jobby
Great thread!
1st is BumGs. Never had a leak! These are the ones I put in the nappy bag & use when he has a nap as I know he'll stay comfortable.
2nd is BBH Magicalls. He has just gone up to the large size & I don't completely trust them yet! Once he grows abit more it'll be a tie with the BumGs!
3rd is Hautes. They don't seem to wear as well, as in elastic & velcro problems, so I don't like to use them as much. Plus they seem to leak more.
Depends where I am going!!
If it just around the house - usually GF's for DD1 and DM's for DD2.
For naps - WW for DD1 and usually BBH for DD2
For going out - BBH for DD1 with a wool cover and BBH and motherease cover for DD2.
I should add that most of DD2's stash is BBH - I don't have a great amount of nappies that she fits into cos she has to share with DD1 as they both fit into mediums.
But I have ordered another 6 DM's... soooo now DD1 can share them with DD2.. lol
oooh I can still post in this thread as my 3yo needs one for his night sleep. He has three that still fit his tiny butt LOL And I grab in this order:
The Imsey Vimsey All in One ....(biggest and most absorbent)
The Bum Genius ...Good absorbency but pocket pad not as good as the IV)
The IttiBitti ... getting a bit small now, only use when desperate.
1. BBH multifits: love them, best nappy i have found for ds by far
2. Bumg's: Another great nappy but ds has worked out the velcro so could get messy lol
3. Itti bittis: great nappy but not a great fit on my ds
4. CT's: Cant stand them and only go on for half hour to an hour and i still get leaks.
Morning, off to Nursery: I grab the Motherease AI2 nappies with either a fleece liner or a flushable one, depending on what has already happened that morning.
Morning, at home, rainy day: Nature Baby stuffable with a prefold inside. Bulky, but DS has such a tiny bum he needs bulk
At home, sunny day: pants and spend the day in the garden. That has been the plan for a couple of weeks, since he has shown an interest again, and it has raied.
Evening, at home: training pants. If DS does anything it's caught and if he doesn't then he doesn't.
Bedtime: Ella's House Hemp nappies with a cover. Absorbant and soft... although DS is nearly dry at night now, it's still great for the first thing in the morning!
We have a couple of other types of nappy, but those are the ones I grab first.
im weird i just pick from the pile i have that are clean pretty much all the nappies we have get worn the same amount im lucky DS fits in everything ive ever tried
When at home I always pick my least fav just to use them and save my fav and pretties for going out!! So usually at home I use peapods. CT, Hautes and prefolds.
