    White towels

I used white towels for both DD's well they used to be white!!
Ive tried soaking them in strong napisan...about 3 lids in the trough over night then washing them but nope still greyish
ive only ever washed them together so i cant understand why they dont stay white...i change them every day so they dont get dirty
would regular bleach work?? ive never used bleach for anything other than cleaning the toilet?

    I have no idea?
Bleach would make them go yellow if you add too much?

Do not understand why napisan did not work?

    Good luck

Try colourfast bleach, and hang them in the sunshine to dry.

    White towels

We use bleach, probably about two capfuls added to the wash, not sure our machine has dispenser for it. It's never turned them yellow.

Bleach turns whites yellow over time... especially if left unused for over a few months.

Maybe the issue is also your washing machine? If you make the first load of the day your whites then progressively go to the darks then you might not have as much of a greyness issue. Some machines store coloured water in the base which then goes on to taint the next load. Once I went from darks to whites and even though the whites were put into a seemingly empty machine they came out a pinky colour because the previous load had some new dark red clothes from which the dye had come out.

    Do you have town water?

I pop some bleach in the wash too, but sunlight is the winner for me also.

Have you heard of bluo? It's a really old fashioned stuff in a blue bottle to go in your whites, my mum's always used it - I think you can still buy it.
