    Completely over it.

We are trying to do up the bathroom. Cannot find a vanity that will fit in the space we need. We both got really excited and went and bought a new toilet to put in and when we get home DP goes.. Uh..oh and im like what?

The tap is right in the area where the toilet should be I just want to hit something. We are never going to move at this rate. Nothing ever fits! I HATE THIS HOUSE

    and I ALSO HATE RENOVATING

oh hun, been there, done that... it it not fun at all... Makes you want to smash things, like the new toilet... Hang in there. Once you get it finished it will be so worth it. xo

Poo Bugger Crap. Not sure if it is any help but my parents have a lovely big pink bath, and because it is so deep they have decided that rather than replace it they are getting it re-coloured. Is that an option for the toilet?

Not really we are just going to have to try to find a toilet that will fit in there. We are going to re-paint the bath though

Ahurani - I feel your pain, we're still renovating

BUT! Have you checked out Bourne Bathrooms? We got all our bathroom stuff there, good prices and I was looking at some ensuite loos which are quite compact. If you take your bathroom measurements in with you, they'll also help sort out what will fit and stuff.

Good luck, I really feel for you.

We had exactly the same problem a few weeks ago with a toilet. The old toilet had a pipe leading up to the cistern, whereas the new porcelain toilets have the cistern sitting low, on top of the bowl. We bought home a beautiful toilet and cistern to discover the tap was in the way! Eventually, we found a porcelain toilet at Mitre 10 which has a narrow cistern and fits in the space. I hope you can find one that fits in your space, too!

    AArrghhh!!!!

Have you still got the old toilet? Maybe you could smash that up. I'm NOT looking forward to doing the 2 bathrooms I have to do. I've never done a full refit and it scares the crap outta me because I'm finding it hard to visualise - therefore I'm sure nothing will look right even if it does fit.
