I was not brought up in Australia and moved here from another country so I do not have the background into the school system that other people do. I feel a bit embarrassed to ask this question at DD1's school so I was hoping that someone here could explain.
How do you differentiate what Year class it is when they say 2.3, 2.4 etc. The map I have of DD1's school has classes from 2.1 - 2.6 and then 3.1 - 3.6 and 4.1 - 4.4. This is apart from the ECE classes which are easier to recognise. How does this system work?
