Stock - make your own or is there any commerical stock you can use?
Hi
Just wondering if there are any commerical stocks that can be used to make meals for a 7 month old? I am trying to make most of his meals myself and have a number of receipes that require chicken stock. Can I use any commerical stock? I picked one up today that is salt reduced (gravox) but am concerned that it may still contain too much salt. It has 180mg sodium per 100ml.
If I do end up having to make my own I assume it can be frozen. The receipe I am looking makes approx 2.25L with the receipes needing approx 200ml of stock.
I use the Massel one because it has no numbers in whatsoever and halve the quantity a recipe calls for E.G if 2 cups of stock i put 1 cup stock and one cup water ITMS. DD is sensitive to any additives so I have to read everything shopping. I also don't add any extra salt/pepper during cooking.
