    Honouring current sale prices?

I have a carseat on layby at Target. It was on sale. I found out today the exact same seat is on sale for a whole lot cheaper than the sale price I got it for.

Can I ask them to honour the current sale price for the item? Im a bit po'ed I will be paying about $50 more for the bloody thing. If I cancel the layby I lose $$$.

    Anyone know the policy?

I will cancel and relayby if I have to.

I'm pretty sure if you don't cancel the laybuy but pay it out and then return it you can rebuy it for the cheaper price.
That was something we did when I worked retail.

I used to work for Target, worked in layby and in refunds and unfortunately they no longer honour sales. If you were to pay it out and refund the item they have to hold the item behind the counter they can't or more to the point wont re sell it to you. YOu would have to grab another from the floor.. The same with cancelling the layby they wont let you re layby it.

And it sucks how that happens, used to pee me off as even working there i never knew what promotions or sales were coming up.

Kmart do it, they just change the price at the layby counter but Target won't. You'll have to either cancel the layby or pick it up and buy another one like the others have said.
