DD has never been that interested in babies but we've been telling her from Day 1 about the new "babba" and now we know the sex, "Sissybabba". (Actually she knew I was pregnant before I did and was saying "babba" before I even did a test).
Anyhow, over the last week or so her interest has really ramped up to the point where she now stops every mum with a pram and looks inside at the baby. She wanted to follow my next-door neighbour inside her house with her baby yesterday. This is quite cute. Not quite so cute today when she insisted on showing another mum where her Sissybaba was and pulled up my tops to point and prod.
But I'm quite pleased that she's so interested as I really wasn't sure how she'd take to a newcomer. Obviously, this doesn't mean that she'll be 100% accepting and I'm sure we'll have our moments but at least things are looking good.
aww sounds like she's looking forward to meeting her new baby sister (or at least at the moment she is! Lol). Hope you don't have too many more 'shirt being pulled up in public' moments!
It's good she is taking an interest, what we did with dd1 was give her a baby doll and pram so she could look after her when I was with dd2. It helped her understand what was happening. She still loves her babies she has a couple now, they get fed taken for walks and have blankets.
According to my son he had a sister in his tummy as well.
can you tell her it's too cold to lift mummies top up??
Hopefully it's a good sign, and she will still be excited after the birth, my son loves his new little sister, and says she is his friend, and gives her cuddles etc. I fell blessed he hasn't rejected her. At least I know we have done something right so far
