    Question Baby clothes and washing

OK so a few ladies in my thread are starting to wash their items for the baby. Im not sure im ready to start that yet. (I know it is silly but i think if anything goes wrong then i can still take items back or give them away as gifts!!!!)

But i just wanted to know when did you start to wash your baby's items?

I would also like to know how long do you expect to get from 000 clothing???

i washed all the clothes we had at 30 weeks.
DD2 last about a month and a half-2 months in 000 but spent nearly 3 months in 0000, she's in 00's atm and isnt going up a size any time soon.
DD1 seemed to be in 000 for alot longer, cant remember exactly how long though

I washed everything as soon as I'd finished working, which was at 36 weeks. Probably a bit late, looking back on it!! It was so cute, looking at all these teeny tiny clothes hanging on my washing line.

DD was born 7lb 13oz (3.5kg) and was 49cms long. She went straight into 00000 for about a month. 000 lasted quite a few months for her. I found that the Pumpkin Patch stuff I was given for newborns was still fitting her when she was about 6-8 months old and for a while I was freaking out that she was little, but nope. She's a normal, average sized baby.

I havent started washing yet, mainly because i dont have the draws to put the clothes into at the moment. Id say just wash when you feel comfortable!

I have started washing all my baby clothes already, i have been given heaps and heaps of things, so after my baby shower i am going to go through them all and sort out what i want/need. Then with the rest im just going to give them to the salvo's or something because i know someone will make use of them.
000 last for about 2-3 months, my babies are born and go into 0000 but that lasts around a month if im lucky.

    Baby clothes and washing

I didn't get there the first time round, dd1 arrived one week after I finished work, the night of my baby shower! I was planning on starting the next day, I had been given heaps. In the end my sil did it all for me so they were waiting when she got home.

Second time being a sahm made it easier so it was all done by about 30 weeks, washed but not put away as I didn't know if it was a boy or girl.

Dd1 was in 0000 for 6 months and then 000 for another 6 but she was very little. Dd2 was out of 0000 by two weeks but she was in 000 for about 4 months and 00 for ages she has only just gone into 0 now at 14 months.

I didn't wash everything until about 38 weeks, I figured if I washed it any earlier I'd just want to wash it again close to bub's arrival anyways. DD was 8lbs at birth, lasted about 5 days in 0000 then went to 000. Just yesterday (6wks old) we moved up to 00 wondersuits, all her other 00 stuff is too big, but the wondersuits seem smaller sizing. HTH

I think I washed about 30-32weeks or so......Baby C is still in mostly 000s now at 14 weeks although he skipped the 0000 stage being born at 4.4kgs. So we have had a good three plus months out of them so far.
