Anyone conceived very late in their cycle??

Anyone conceived late in their cycle, missed their period and gotten very very faint + hpt..........but eventually gotten a BFP because they were really only less than 2wks from conception instead of over?

I think Im pregnant, AF is MIA 4-6 days and counting. Ive done hpts and gotten extrememly faint + on a few different brands but the digital said not pregnant. We used protection for about 6 days either side of ovulation and Ive been charting/watching for signs which I thought I had around the usual o time. Im thinking I either ovulated twice or I was way off the mark, ovulated super late and thats why AF is MIA and just faint faint +.

Guess Im scrambling for some teeny bit of hope; no matter whether it was an unexpected surprise

Hmmm....never had it happen to me, but I guess it's not impossible? Didn't you start a thread a week or so ago about a strange "heavy" feeling? Sorry, I can't remember exactly! Could that have been you ovulating? I replied to your thread saying that the only got your symptoms when UTD though .

Oooh, I hope it's a lovely surprise for you . Good luck!

Yes, twice. DD was a whoopsie pregancy and was conceived well outside the ovulation period... about day 18 of the cycle. My last conception was at LEAST day 20 of my cycle... and I had a period as if normal but remained pregnant after the bleeding. I used to have quite long cycles of about 30 days... recently it has shortened back to the usual 28 days... but i can be irregular. I am starting to think I'm hyper fertile though... it's a bit of a worry now that i can't have children anymore due to health issues. Bring on menopause!

    goodluck!

So did you not test until you were really late or did you test when AF went MIA? Can late ovulating mean the + tests dont come til later? Because if I ovulated late then I might only be a few days past implantation which I guess would mean I would def miss a period but not be pregnant enough to have dark +'s?

When I fell pg the second time I was breastfeeding and found out I was 8 weeks pregnant, when I counted back from the dating scan it put ovulation at about cd48 so it is definitely possible! Probably more possible when breastfeeding. I remember feeling really tired and nauseous and went to the dr's who said could you be pregnant?! Was a huge surprise! I also remember having that heavy feeling in the lower abdomen and also could feel the uterus contract more when breastfeeding. Hope you get some clear answers soon, must be very frustrating not knowing definitely either way.

I can't recall when i tested but I feel the symptoms very early and i just knew. Sorry couldn't be much help in that department. I get a particular set of symptoms: heavy uterus feeling, frequent weeing, early morning sickness that shows up only a few weeks after conception. I have strong nausea by week 6.

I meant to add, when I was pregnant with #2, I got a VERY VERY faint +, and just "knew" I was... the doc's test was - !!!!! He only believed me when the blood test proved it!

I believe a mum knows best sweets, if YOU believe you are, then get it checked out till you know for sure your not (even if doc says no, a blood test or AF is the real proof!!!) ... xoxoxo

Wow Freya, I couldn't believe it when I read this (tell me you secret how did you get DH to change his mind?)

Anyway with my 2nd pregnancy I tested when Af was due got a -ve, then a few days later tested again and it was +ve, I wasn't charting or anthing so have no idea re ovulation but with my other boys I have always had the +ve before AF was due.

Looking forward to seeing what is happening.

I'm sorry to hear that it was a chemical one, hope that AF rears its ugly head for you soon. I sometimes wish that i could have a scare, just so DH would see that having another one wouldn't be the end of the world. Good Luck with the next time, and I'm sending girl vibes your way

It's amazing how the possible reality of a conception can change a man's idea of having another baby. Despite how expensive and difficult it can be for DH and I every scare we have he admits to readily accepting another!

Sorry to hear it's just a chemical one this time... :hugs:
