QFG & City Fert Centre $ has anyone compared

Hi I think I am deciding between now between Dr Astill at CFC and Dr Scott Salisbury at QFG. From what I have heard either one would be good. So is there a difference in $. I have read some posts that have said they can't believe the $ difference between clinics but not sure which clinics.

Hi! Sorry I can't help you out. I'd be interested to know if there is much of a price difference too.
I am seeing a dr with QFG and so far the QFG costs have been fairly reasonable (mostly covered by insurance). What I've had to pay more for is the actual doctors fees.

Good luck making your choice. I'm sure you could call them both and ask for some information on prices before making a decision.

    Hey purple
we're just in process of leaving our clinic and heading over to a dr at QFG. Turns out due the docs fees all being totally varied, you need to compare a few docs. + clinic and then compare. My present clinic has a fee that includes the doc fee regardless of who you see, so much simpler.
Saying that, QFG plus doc fee has come in roughly $1000 cheaper for an FET!!!!!!!! That's not to be sniffed at, and it's before they waived the reistration fee as we're coming from a local place, waived the initial consultation AND the transportation of embryo fee!!
    Hope this helps.

    Hey purple
our existing clinic charges one fee that inc. the docs fee regardless of who you see. We shopped around (can't afford not to eh?) and QFG are coming in at $1000 cheaper than our current clinic and that is before they waived the registration fee, transportation of frozen embryos AND initial consultation!!! It really does pay to call a few doc's receptionists and find out their fees for various procedures. There was one who said it was $130 for me to see doc at initial consultation....and then another $130 for my husband to join me in her office and breathe her O2 (well she didn't put it like that but YKWIM!)....so I struck her off the list out of principal, although as my hubby pointed out $130 for initial consult. was cheaper than a lot of others.....BUT I argued she was taking advantage of a situation when moral support is the key.

I'm going off on one now, so I'll stop! Hope this helps.

Thank you for your reply. I have decided on a dr at QFG. I have so far found the dr's fees very reasonable and I quite like the dr i chose. He is very down to earth which I think is good so you don't feel silly asking questions. Thank you for you reply.
