Help choosing nappies for my friend

Just spent two hours on the phone to my good friend who is 29 weeks pregnant - very excited to find she intends using cloth and has been investigating the MCN.
Thing is she is confused by the huge array to choose from - please help me help her choose.

So this will be her first bub, she intends using cloth and home and maybe disposables when out. She will even thing about the traditional 'old' cloth.

What do you recommend for a first timer??

I think you should look at the Flip system.
I used Green Kids for DD and tried about 4-5 before settling on them but I am using Flip for my son (9weeks) as it is trim, you don't have as much washing as you don't need to wash the covers everytime but mostly you can get disposable inserts too. They are also pretty cheap in comparison to all in ones and fit my son from 5 weeks and my 2 1/2 yr DD

I like the abby gro nappies. They are quite tiny and fit newborns too. They are so easy to put together DP didn't have to ask me how to do it!
