Photography Courses

Is anyone doing one or has done one lately?

This would be a course for pleasure not for work. I just want to take beautiful photos and improve my ability with my digital SLR camera.

Are there any online courses?

Ive been told by numerous people to avoid a particular short course. The feedback now since talking to many people is proving that something is defaintly not going right with that short course.

I just read a lot of online tutorials for photography and photoshop and spend a lot of time looking at other photographers work and learn from that. Now that I'm working out the technical aspects of photography I have found that the quality of my work has improved. I'm also able to look at a photo and work out what sort of apeture was used, how it was lit (eg: natural, flash or other lighting), I look not only at the subject but everything around the subject. I take particular note of what the first thing to grab me when I see a photo is and then work out why it grabbed me.
