Question When will by bowels return to normal?

Just wondering when this constipation during pregnancy subsides? I never had it with DS and am really hoping it doesn't last the whole pregnancy.

    What is your experience?

I found that the preg vitamins always made me a little constipated, it never really went away unless i forgot a tablet. I drank a cup of pear juice most days and that kept me regular

I used to eat a kiwi fruit every morning, skin and all and that helped keep me regular.
I would cut it up into pieces as they made eating the furry skin a bit easier.
I can't remember having constipation as it was one of things I was always super conscious of, hence the kiwi fruit.

Your bowels will prob remain pretty full and constipated throughout your pregnancy but if you go into labour naturally your bowels will release everything (i mean EVERYTHING) just before you go into labour anyway so i found it best to start afresh right after the birth with fruit and fibre - not too much though - you dont want to be too loose - The fibre will help you pass movements easily post birth as it can sometimes be a bit tender. I found if you are bf'ing drinking heaps of water is helpful too! The amount of fluid that bf'ing draws from your body is crazy! So keep up the fluids otherwise you may notice a bit of constipation.... Good luck!!
