7 year old who kicks off their bed covers - any ideas?

Now that melbourne is having cold nights, my 7 year old has been waking up with the cold in the early hours of the morning as she scrambles around while she is asleep and manages to end up with the doona on the floor.
I thought of buying her a double doona and tucking it in like a blanket or buying a double blanket and putting it on top of the doona and tucking it in.
    Just wondering what others do?

have you tried the snugtime/big softies sleeping blankies? like fleece all in one jammies with feet that either go over the pyjamas or in place of pyjamas...they go up to a size 7 or 8 i think..... google snugtime and have a look at their website....

How about a sleeping bag? ie like you would go camping with? You can get some cute kids ones.

I had and still do have this problem with both my older two.
My ds 1 is 6 and he wears the all in one jumpsuits, I got mine from Target , they have double blanket thick ones or thinner fleecy ones, they go up to a size 8.
My 12 yr old DD though is to big for those and still doesn't keep any covers on. We tried sleeping bags with her and she gets uncomfy and ends up out of it, but she is a real wriggle butt.
Only thing is to rug her up in warm p.js and socks...... she wakes up cold now though and will pull the covers on.

I would give the jumpsuits a go if you can get them to fit, otherwise give a sleeping bag a go

I remember seeing some zip up bed sets for kids in the bambini pronto catalogue, I dont know much about it as my DD is not at the doona stage but I always thought they looked like a good idea. If you google gro bag first duvet or go to the bambini pronto website under the sleep section you should find it, I think its about $70. Hope that helps

Even if you have a spare single doona you can flip it sideways on top of another doona and it will tuck all the way around the mattress.

Yep....I agree. Snugtime ones are great. You can layer under neath too, so she can wear her normal PJ's under neath.
